am i banned or is the server down?

since saturday evening i havent been able to login to the server, with the message 'no response from server' is this due to the server being down or am i banned (the same thing has happened to my brother who plays, but on a different computer, so different ip address name: chaos dude).

if it is due to the server being down, does anyone have any idea when it will be back up?

or if my brother and i are banned, can u explain the reasons, because i do not believe my brother or i have broken any rules?
